Carpanelli produces modern cabinetmaking furniture reinterpreting tradition in an innovative way.

Carpanelli is an “evergreen” company that recalls memory and tradition interpreting it in an innovative way. It stands out for the recognisability of its design and for the workmanship of high cabinetmaking. It expresses its creative identity through a path of constant research and experimentation that aims to meet the needs of the most demanding international clientele. Our stylistic proposal summarizes a balance between refined elegance and emotional impact. The concept of luxury is interpreted as the ability to create personalized furnishing solutions that enhance our craftsmanship quality and attention to detail.

Art. 1 – PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION

CARPANELLI, company of furniture with 100 years of history dedicated to high-level cabinetmaking, within the 8th edition of the Design Contest IDEAS4WOOD 2025/2026 promotes Carpanelli Award “A NEW TOUCH OF ELEGANCE”.

Every single project must be designed to shape the LIVING AREA, the heart of the modern home — a space created to welcome, relax, and entertain.

The specific types of products required are:

  • MODULAR BOOKCASE SYSTEM – WALL UNIT
  • STORAGE UNIT – SIDEBOARD

The furniture pieces to be designed must:

  • Be inspired by the mood of our collection “A New Touch of Elegance”

  • Pay special attention to:
    • A research-based approach that reflects current trends in the interior and furniture design sector (A New Touch)
    • A contemporary vision of elegance, understood as the use of high-quality, eco-sustainable materials, meticulous attention to detail, and refined craftsmanship (of Elegance).

The following points shall be well considered:
– the research on current trends and the original interpretation of the theme of the Contest;
– enhancement of wood in its most precious essences such as the leading protagonist;
– search for combinations with new materials expressing an actual concept of preciousness;
– for design it is possible to resort to the use of Artificial Intelligence to support human creativity. For projects developed with the help of various AI systems, it is mandatory to indicate the use of AI and the system used.

The submitted solutions shall be original and unpublished and aimed to enhance the company’s DNA.
