MASTER OF ASSOPANNELLI

As a partner of Assopannelli, we took part in the master program held, where we had the opportunity to contribute with a presentation focused on decorative surfaces, the main topic of the meeting.

During the session, we illustrated the evolution of these surfaces, retracing their history and highlighting the connection between tradition and innovation in the world of design and materials.

The event was also an opportunity to introduce Tabu S.p.A. and the Ideas4Wood project, a Contest dedicated to young designers and creative experimentation with wood.

We are proud of the opportunity given to us by FederlegnoArredo and Assopannelli, which allowed us to share our work, our commitment, and the attention to detail that characterizes every project we develop.

Istituto Europeo di Design

March began with a very important meeting at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, where we were invited as guests to deliver a lecture at this extraordinary institution.

During the conference, we presented Tabu, explaining what the company does, how it has evolved over time, how it has continuously improved, and, above all, the areas in which it has developed its core expertise.

Another key topic addressed during the lecture was, of course, our Ideas4Wood Contest, which we continue to promote and share with students and architects because of its great potential and the valuable opportunities it offers to participants.

It was an experience we consider extremely important, and we believe it was truly positive not only for us, but especially for the students who attended. We would like to thank Arch. Marco Vicinanza and his students for their participation and genuine interest.

SEMINAR FOR ARCHITECTS AT THE INSIDE AREA SHOWROOM IN BERGAMO

We were in Bergamo at the Inside Area showroom for our third meeting with architects and industry professionals.

During the seminar, we presented TABU veneers and the characteristics that make them unique worldwide.

We also introduced our IDEAS4WOOD contest, explaining how it originated and outlining the distinctive features that define our competition.

We would like to thank Inside Area for their hospitality. We are pleased that this collaboration is continuing in such a positive and professional manner.

MASTER OF ASSOPANNELLI

We are partner of Assopannelli and we had the opportunity to contribute to the Master program held at PoliDesign with a dedicated presentation.

Our talk focused on decorative surfaces, the main theme of the session. We also introduced Tabu Spa and presented the Ideas4Wood contest, creating a broader dialogue around innovation and material culture.

During the lecture, we explored the evolution of decorative surfaces, tracing their history and establishing a connection between past and present. Through this historical overview, we highlighted how these surface typologies have developed over time, shaping contemporary design languages while maintaining strong roots in tradition.

We are proud of the opportunity provided by Federlegno and Assopannelli. Sharing our work, our commitment, and the great attention to detail that defines our approach is always a meaningful and valuable experience for us.

ARCHITECTS’ SEMINAR AT THE INSIDE AREA SHOWROOM

An architects’ seminar dedicated to our Ideas4Wood contest was held in Bergamo. The event was promoted in collaboration with Inside Area and took place at their showroom, under the patronage of the Fondazione Architetti di Bergamo.

Professionals were involved in an in-depth moment of discussion and exchange focused on wood species and the materials offered by Tabu. Participants had the opportunity to experience the materials firsthand, touching them and perceiving the different sensations each wood essence provides. Wood was the central theme of the seminar, explored from research and sustainability to its potential applications in architecture.

The architects in attendance also followed the complete presentation of our Ideas4Wood contest and expressed great appreciation for the event.

NUOVO ISTITUTO DESIGN – Perugia

An online lecture was held with the Nuovo Istituto di Design in Perugia, during the meeting the Ideas4Wood contest was presented.

Throughout the session, the core themes of the initiative were explored in depth, with particular focus on wood as a noble and living material, its expressive potential, and the design approach required by the contest.

The online format allows for quick and convenient interaction with students and helps to establish a solid foundation for future in-person meetings.

We were supported by Prof. Agnese Pierotti in supervising the online session. We would like to thank her and hope to collaborate again with her and her students in the future.

ISTITUTO MARANGONI – Dubai and Mumbai

In collaboration with Istituto Marangoni campuses in Dubai and Mumbai, the company Tabu and the Ideas4Wood contest were presented to students and participants.

The meeting aimed to introduce Tabu, its values and areas of expertise, as well as to outline the registration process and participation guidelines for the Ideas4Wood contest.

Educational sessions such as these, together with guided company visits, play a key role in launching the creative and design journey within this initiative.

ISIA ROMA DESIGN

Today’s meeting took place in the capital city, at the Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche. The session focused on Tabu wood species and our Ideas4Wood contest.

OPEN DAY AT TABU | POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF TURIN

Today we welcomed students from the Politecnico di Torino for a guided tour of our production departments.

The company visit began in the log yard, where the students learned how incoming raw materials are handled and processed. The tour then continued to the slicing department, where they observed the slicing machine in operation, followed by the quality control area and the selection of freshly sliced material. The final production department visited was the jointing area, after which the students were introduced to the warehouse, where customers inspect and test the materials prior to purchase.
